Playground Poker Club expands its 2026 lineup with three World Series of Poker Circuit stops and the inaugural WSOP Super Circuit Canada. Highlights include a record-breaking $10 million CAD guarantee and online qualifier opportunities for players via GGPoker.
Playground in Kahnawake, Quebec, is preparing for its most ambitious year of poker to date. After a historic 2025 season, the venue has confirmed three World Series of Poker Circuit stops for 2026.
This expansion includes the highly anticipated arrival of the first WSOP Super Circuit Canada, bringing massive prize pools and prestigious gold rings to the Montreal area.
The 2026 calendar at Playground features a spread of dates designed to accommodate domestic and international players. The venue will host the following stops:
- Spring Stop: March 23 to April 7, 2026
- Early Summer Stop: May 10 to May 25, 2026
- WSOP Super Circuit Canada: August 24 to September 9, 2026
- Fall Stop: November 2 to November 17, 2026
The shift to a calendar-year format for the WSOP Circuit provides a predictable line-up for players planning their tournament travel. Each stop offers multiple ring-awarding events, catering to various buy-ins and skill levels.
WSOP Super Circuit Canada Debut
The standout addition to the 2026 schedule is the WSOP Super Circuit Canada. Scheduled for late August, this event marks a milestone for Canadian poker. The centerpiece of this series is the Main Event, which features a $5,000 CAD buy-in.
In a move to drive participation and create life-changing payouts, the Super Circuit Main Event carries a $10,000,000 CAD guarantee. This represents one of the largest guarantees in the history of the circuit and signals Playground’s intent to remain a top-tier destination for global poker.
Building on Record-Breaking Success
The decision to expand follows a successful 2025 WSOP Circuit Main Event at the club. That tournament drew 1,978 entrants and created a prize pool of $4,450,500 CAD. The eventual winner, Jacob Hobday, secured his seat through a $75 CAD satellite on GGPoker and walked away with $620,000 CAD.
Playground aims to replicate this success by offering extensive online qualifying paths. Players can compete for seats in all 2026 Playground events through GGPoker and GGPoker Ontario. These satellites provide a low-cost entry point for players to compete for a share of the millions in guaranteed prize money.
Tournament Line-up and Format
While the full daily schedules for the later stops are pending, the March series typically includes 18 ring events. Standard offerings include:
- Mini Main Event: Multiple starting flights with accessible buy-ins.
- The Colossus: Large field events with significant guarantees.
- High Roller Events: Tailored for players looking for higher stakes action.
- Specialty Events: Seniors and Ladies tournaments often feature on the roster.
Most events allow re-entries, and the variety of formats such as Mystery Bounties and Pot Limit Omaha ensures a diverse experience for all attendees.
Playground continues to solidify its reputation as the premier poker destination in Canada. With the inclusion of the Super Circuit and a consistent schedule of ring events, 2026 is poised to be a landmark year for the Kahnawake poker community.
